Hi, I'm Nick, and i'm a photographic alcoholic. I have been taking photos for a while. I seem to recall a 126 camera somewhere in my past...

Even though I work for the worlds biggest digital camera manufacturer (though unfortunately I don't work in the photographic division) I am still quite into film so you will see photos on my site taken with both digital and analog gear (hopefully I have remembered to enter some exif data on the photos that I have scanned from film). I am not going to go through a list of all my gear as I really don't think that it is the gear that makes the photo. I am just as happy with a pinhole camera as I am with the latest and greatest dSLR. Plus I might get scared at the list (and my wife might read this and I value my life)

The website runs a bespoke system that runs on PHP and Nespressos. I looked at a few photoblog software packages but none really did what I wanted so I spent some time writing what I wanted. The site now allows me to do basically everything in Adobe Lightroom (even preview how the page will look). I then just drop the photos into a hot folder and the magic happens.

Oh and yes, that is my handwriting :-)

If you found one of these cards then thank you for visiting. To get a few more local visitors in October 07 I printed a bunch of "film strip" cards with the URL of my website on them. When I visit local bars and coffee shops I leave a card under the sugar bowl, in the pages of a magazine or stuffed down the back of a chair or couch. I will probably find that 99% of them end up in the trash, but hopefully someone might find one and visit and enjoy my photos (and maybe buy a print)... plus I enjoy finding semi-hidden places to leave them :-)

If you are keen to model then I would love to take your photo. There is a good chance that I cant afford to pay you (though if you are Kylie Bax then I could probably manage a few dollars :-), but I am happy to print some enlargements of your favorite photos.
