Coffee at Java

Christchurch has some great cafes (as evident by the amount of coffee pinhole photos I take) but on a Sunday morning so many of them are closed it is hard to find a quiet one to have a coffee while nursing a hangover. Java is a cafe we used to frequent often when we lived on Cashel St. I always used to order a Java Jolt - a super strong 4 shot expresso served with chocolate coated coffee beans. Sadly it is no longer on the menu. I was the only one there when I arrived but by the time I left there were people everywhere and the music had become a little too upbeat for how I was feeling.

Mechanomicon Mk I

I am intrigued by the idea of mechanics fused with the human body and have a few ideas still to explore...

Strobist Info: SB24 1/4 power fired into white umbrella on camera left.

I can see why the 70-200mm f2.8 is such a popular lens, as even at 105mm I did feel like I was envading the personal space of the model (let alone the 50mm I started with!). Have to start saving :-)

French Chocolate at Mojo

Whenever I am in Wellington I always try and stop at Mojo for a chocolate hit. They do a french sipping chocolate shot - basically pure melted bitter chocolate! You only ever need one cup in your life (though this one is probably my 4th).

Chairs at Auckland Airport

Old pinhole image for World Pinhole Day (27th April) - the ones I took yesterday are still waiting for processing :-)

This was taken at Auckland Airport. I was meeting Bernadette at the Aiport but as I was driving from across town I had no idea how long it would take and ended up about 2hrs early. Oh well gave me time for a 35min exposure.
